Command Line Interface¶

This page provides basic examples for using the privatebin command-line tool. For detailed information and options, please refer to the --help flag available with each command (e.g., privatebin create --help).

Create a paste¶

By default, pastes are created on https://privatebin.net/. Use the -s/--server flag to create them on another instance, or set the PRIVATEBIN_SERVER environment variable:

privatebin create "Your secret text here." --server "https://example.org/"

Direct text:

privatebin create "Your secret text here."

From a file:

cat secret.txt | privatebin create

Get a paste¶

privatebin get "https://privatebin.net/?pasteid#passphrase"

Delete a paste¶

privatebin delete "https://privatebin.net/?pasteid" --token "your_delete_token"
